Once he found out he wanted to quit, so he ran off into the mysterious woods, he stayed there for as long as he could. So he trained, trained and trained until he was ready.  he fought them and once he was done everything was in pieces and so as the army.

The  library

On our way down the hill i was really excited to go to the library bus because I got to chose my own two books to read. Once we got there the librarian Erica and her friend Brett greeted us and welcomed us inside. She told us to all go to the very end of the bus because that was where the kids sit. First she told us where the fiction books go and where the nonfiction go. All of us went to find our books. While we were looking for books mr. nath was calling us one by one to come and receive our own library cards. Then our twenty minutes were over, and I was surprised that the time has gone. After, everyone found the books that they wanted. We  all went to Brett and gave our books to him. He scanned our books and and we hopped outside and went back to class. I had a good time at the library bus and I can’t wait for them to back next month.

Today we had our digital immersion with Garry. He is our teacher that teaches lessons about robots and how to talk binary. We went on two different apps the first one was called Mblock Blocky where you can tell robots what to do and one that has remote controls buttons on the ipad. It was cool because we got to move around the robots and make it talk binary to other groups. It was kind of hard but awesome and really fun.

cross country

last week we had our cross country. We waited for the first two classes to finish there run then we ran. we had to go around the courts and go down the foot path, go around the junior block, come up the side walk, go outside the compound and come back and finally go around the senior block. We had to that all twice. Who came first was Richie, second place was kuea and third place was Stan and i came fourth place i wasn't happy that I came fourth but I still had fun.

how to make things glow.

Yesterday we had our science intensive in room 7 with Mrs tofa. We were learning about how to make things glow in the dark.

first we watched a video on how things glow. After we had to write down what we knew about it then we had to present it to the class. 

Next we grabbed these glow in the dark toys and lined up in the hallway to go to room 7's  netbook cuboard  where it was dark. Then we went back to the class room and watched another video about black light After we did a experiment about it.

Mrs tofa gave us a plastic clear cup to fill it with water, later we got highlighter and got the ink out of it and put it in the cup of water. We used Mrs card and Mrs tofa phones as the black light. They used tape to cover the light. 

They coloured the tape in purple and blue to make a black light, later we went to the netbook cuboard again and tested it and it actually worked, we got to see our faces and hands glow. 

It was awesome and fun because i liked the part when we were glowing in the dark and i am looking forward to our next science intensive.

days of the week

2 week holiday

During the holidays my family and I went to our Nana's birthday at her house.

First, we helped set up the party outside and also the food.  Then I and my friend from church sat inside the house watching TV.  Lots of friends and relatives were invited to the birthday party and the house was nearly packed.

Then I and my friend went outside to talk to the guests. When everyone was there we started the party with a prayer. Afterwards we sang happy birthday to my nana. Everybody ate all the yummy food that was on the table. Everyone was so happy and enjoyed the food and the company of each other.

 The food was soooooo yummy and the cake tasted delicious too. I felt really awesome and felt a little bit tired but it was fun.

The solar system

The solar system was created by the  the planets that orbit
around the sun.  
if there was no planets there wouldn’t be a solar system.

Mercury is the smallest planet in the solar system and it
is  the closest planet to the sun. on mercury one year is 88 days.
 Mercury takes
88 days to orbit around the sun.

Venus is the second closest planet and it is the brightest thing
after the moon in the night sky.  Venus rotates the other way
then other planets and it is called earth sister planet.

Earth was was once believed to be the centre of the
universe  and it is the only densest planet in the solar system.
is only one satellite of the planet earth and its the moon.

Mars is  fourth planet from the sun and it is the second
smallest planet in the solar system.  Mars takes its name
from the roman god of war and the sun on mars appears half way.

Jupiter is the fifth planet from the sun and it size is two times bigger
than all the other planets. The great spot on it is  a huge storm that
can fit three earths in it.

Saturn is the sixth planet from the sun and it is the furthest distance  
from the sun. Saturn has 150 moons and saturn is the flattest planet.

Uranus is the seventh planet from the sun and uranus has the
coldest temperature of any planets. Uranus is known as ice giant
planet because it is cold.

Neptune  is the eighth planet from the sun and it is the
smallest ice giant in the solar system.  Neptune atmosphere
is made of hydrogen and helium with some methane and neptune
has very active climate.

Sailing trip

Sailing trip

On Tuesday the 15th, some students from the senior classes were
picked to go on a sailing trip to Okahu bay.  We were dropped off
by bus and we had to walk all the way to where the sailing instructors
were first. One of the swimming instructors Justin taught us how to  
set up the sail and the steer. There were lots of knots on the ropes
and we had to untangle it.

Then we had to go and change in to our swimsuits. After putting
our swimsuits on, we put on this red jacket  with a life jacket. Then
with our partners we had to go to our boat and lift it near the water
and waited for our boat to go in the water. Finally our boat was put in
the water.  Anita and I took turns on sailing and steering. i had to swap
partners with Jayden because our sailing wasn’t going well. Then
Miss Smith and maria said that we were having a race and me and
Jayden came first and Kuea and Gideon came 2nd.

laser tag

Laser tag

In the holidays me and my friends went to laser tag. I went with lewis,
ritchie, aj, jeziah and mahoney. We were all chose to be on the same
team because the other team was full.

First ,  me and the team went into the battle zone. We started making a
plan to ambush when they come to our territory. So we camouflage ourselves
and hide somewhere.

When , they came we were getting ready to fire at them. One the person
from the other team came and BOOM!  Ritchie hit him with the first shot.
We were cheering but that wasn’t all of them.

We waited,  for the whole team to come but every time  they are
always sending one person from there team and this was a tricky one. He
knew where we were hiding so went out to attack we seemed to miss and he got
mahoney out.

After that,  they sended the whole team out and we got scared  so we  were
planning to corner them from the sides. We were closing them in and shot  
two of their members and they had four left on their team.

Later on, the game was still going and the team was down to five against four.
We were trying to find them  but we couldn’t find them  so we split up and
 we found one of them in one of the towers and i had  shot  him. We had three more
to get.

Finally, we  shot all of them and we won the whole thing. We were glad  because
i thought we were going to lose. They were pretty hard. It was awesome and really
exciting.

Time with family

In the holiday,  me and my family went to a bbq at my cousins at night because our cousin was leaving to christchurch and there parents invited us. We played rugby outside with my cousins cousins. After that we went inside to watch my brothers play on the PS3.

Then, me and my brother was playing tag around the house with soane too. Then we went to the cabin outside. After that we went to eat.

Then, we started playing around the workout place near the house outside. Then the dad said few things to his son and then he started crying.

After we, went inside  and sat on the couch and started watching the tv. Everybody  was tired but then it was time to leave. We sat in the van waiting for our parents to arrive.

Finally, we said our goodbyes and went home our was so tired when I got home I fell asleep on my parents bed in the living room

I, had a great time I had fun and i was so fool I couldn’t eat the rest of the plate. I was fool because of the pizza and I couldn’t handle the jalapeno flavour.

After that, everyone went to sleep because they were tired of watching tv.

two weeks of term 1

how i felt about coming back to school . i was sad that the school holidays were over. i felt kind of happy to see my friends and teacher.

last Wednesday we had our first two weeks of school.Mrs eilia provided the classes so we can go to the right class. we  had our first swimming lessons with Mrs eilea. we did backstrokes, paddling, and normal swimming.

on Friday, we were supposed to go water fun day but it was raining so it was cancelled. but we don't know when it is going to happen. we had no swimming.

on monday we had music lessons from a music teacher called mr Kim. who told us about lots of instruments i picked the clickers. he even played us music with a instrument called the c base recorder

this Tuesday, we had our first kiwi can lesson. the kiwi can leaders was Mr numia and Mrs lily. Mrs lily was replacing Mrs tuia.
first we did the enigiser and after that we did the activity then we did a round of gkq then we went back to class.

then on Wednesday, we had the people from toitoi to come and talk to us about there books. After that we split up with some the people from toitoi.

yesterday on Thursday, we had kiwi sports. our kiwi sports lesson was volleyball we;earned ready position and under arm serve.

this Friday, we hhave our first assembly and it is being hosted by room 10 at the end of the day.

school holidats

School holidays

In the school holidays we went to the eastern beach and all of our church members were there.

Firstly, my family and I played volleyball and i was in my sisters team, but the others were in my dad's team. It was a close game. We nearly lost because they were pretty hard for us but I got one score for us.

Then me, my brother and my friend went hunting for crabs under rocks. It was low tide so we went out there and we found lots of crab but we couldn’t catch any because they were to fast and they kept digging under the sand.

After that, it started getting high tide so we went to go to play volleyball with my dad but  then i got bored so went to the shelter sat down. Then I started eating doritos with my sister.

Just then, we played tether ball with my friends but they went so I played by myself. Then my mum said we can go swimming but i didn’t have any swimming togs so i used the close I was wearing.

Next, i got into the water and then i called my brother, kuea to come and swim with me. We started playing games in the water then we kept on coming back and then going backwards and forwards.

Later on, got this box with materials that build a basketball hoop for us to play out in the sun.  it was so hard and even some of the parts missing so it made it harder for us to build.

finally, we went to eat at the shade near the barbecue. We ate sausages, chicken, ham, and some corn.

we all went into the water and had lots of fun. Then we all went out and changed. I had a great time there and I had fun.
