The Tokyo Olympics games will still be called the 2020 Tokyo Olympic games. The Paralympics games was due to start on the 24th of August but will now be taking place between 24 august and 5th September, 2021.
The Decision to postpone these two events was taken to protect the health of the athletes that were involved and to help the lock down of COVID- 19. They also considered that the sports and events, Should be Postponed to the summer of 2021.
Hi Viliami, this is a current event I was have been hearing about quite a lot. I am glad they made the call to postpone the event. That would also give athletes a longer time to train do you agree?
