My school is excellent in different ways.

We’re all good students and we listen to what our teacher says.

We do our work really quietly and do independent writing.

We are all friends here and there is no fighting.

The best part of school is when we have morning tea.

If you don’t have a hat you sit under a tree.

Next we do maths and it is really difficult.

But it is much easier with a teacher or an adult.

Our school has a pool, It is painted and improved

We have changing rooms that are going to be removed. 

At the end of the day we sometimes have P.E.

We play Basketball, Netball, Softball and even Rugby.

Swimming in our new Improved pool.

Swimming in our new improved pool. We were walking down in our togs, waiting to go inside our pool. As we walked down we waited for the pool gates to be open. When I saw the pool it looked very clean and new, and I was so excited to go in and have a swim. Misses Raj, our deputy principal had just finished talking, we ran inside really fast into our changing rooms, all of the boys already changed and were in the water waiting for the girls. 

 When all the girls were in we started to walk around in the water, then as we were walking we got ourselves a little wet, after we all practiced how to paddle our legs really gently. We held on to side rails and started to float on our stomachs, we paddle and paddle for a while. I was just floating and kicking the water as gently as I could. I felt really tired so I stopped for a moment. Then everybody started to paddle their feet again, so I quickly got up and started floating and kicking my feet. 

 After practice, we had to get into pairs of three and swim the whole length using the techniques we were taught. the first ones was Kue’a, tupou and I. We then got into position and got ready to swim. As Misses Raj said go, we quickly dived into the water paddling my arms. We got to the end all at the same time, and the next group came. We kept on going and going until we stopped. We then had to swim, only using our legs to paddle. It was really hard but I got to the end. 

 Next we had to hold our breaths underwater to practice because one day we might be swimming underwater, and I’ll just think of what I learned at school. We all took a deep breath and went straight in. As I went in, I could hear some of them popping out of the water and then I popped up screaming. I’ve just been told that I won. I was able to hold my breath for 15 seconds. We then played it one more time, and this time me and two other people got up at the same time. 

 We had freetime and played a little game. We were all running as Misses Raj was counting up to 30. After 30 seconds we all hopped out and went into the changing rooms. Misses Raj started counting up to 60. We changed put our wet clothes away. We lined up outside but some were still there. They finally finished and lined up. Today’s first of swimming really good and now I would want to go swimming everyday.

Water Fun Day.

Water Fun Day. All of the classes were dressed up in their house colours, yesterday was Water Fun day. We sat on the court as we waited for a few more classes to arrive. While we were waiting the kowhai house were shouting out their chant, and they had banners. Mrs.Patea our principal sent us to go and practice our chants, we were practicing as the kowhai house was getting louder, so we went even louder, after we went back to the court and were ready to start Water Fun day. Our first activity was freetime in the swimming pool. We got into the swimming pool and we were all having fun. Some of us were doing freestyle moves, and some of us were playing silly games like tag. After a while Mrs.Kelly, one of our teachers, was giving some sticks that were full of marble. I tried to get a lot for Nikau house. Swimming was a lot of fun, but we had to move on to our next activity.

 Second activity was with Mrs. Smith. For this game you have to toss a water balloon to your house, once the person catches it you pass it back and go to the back of the line. The last person has to put the water balloon in the bucket, fill the cup of water and run and pour it into the bucket. We tied with kauri, and we were allowed to pour the whole bucket into ours. Mrs. Tofa rang the bell and we moved on. Then we moved onto Mrs. Kyee activity.

I filled the yoghurt box with water, jumped into two hula hoops, ran past the cone, and went up to fill the bucket. We were going really fast, all though there were some cheaters. People were using oversized buckets. Mrs. Kyee kept spraying us with squirt guns, she was one of my favourite activities. We were then told to go to Mr. Nath. Mr. Nath’s activity was the same one every year, well all the same, but this year you had cubs with holes in it, so it was really hard to keep the water inside.

During the activity, Nikau was already on their third bucket. I saw a lot of house members from Nikau that were pouring their cups in the bucket. As the bell rang, we got ready to walk all the way to the water slide. We walked to the water slide where Mrs. Atuahiva was. We had to go house by house down the slide. When it was my turn it was really hard to keep my cup of water stable. As I went down the slide go off the slide and start rolling on the grass and then all of my water goes flying out. Some of us got injured, but they sat it out. I was on the court and I could see our teacher putting some the other houses water into the other, then the bell rang.

 We went down to the juniors. Mrs. Ripata was explaining. You have to wet the sponge and do over and under, then the last person has to run to the bucket and squeeze the sponge, and water goes into the bucket. Nikau house was doing really well and some of the house were cheating, like kowhai, they were trying to soak their shirts so they have something else to squeeze in the bucket.

After that all the classes were asked to come back up to the court. We were all on the court and all of the houses were doing the chants. Then Mrs. Tofa came to announce the winners. But before we did the announcements we said our house chants starting from Rata, kowhai, Nikau and finally kauri. Then it was finally time to announce the winners. So in fourth place...was Kowhai, in third place, Kauri and 1st place was(DRUM ROLL)Nikau. Our house won, and I was really happy, then Rata house said their chant for us. For the first time ever we finally win.

Our Theme for Kiwican right now is Positive Relationship and our Topic is Fairplay.  Our enigiser for today was 21, and it was boys on girls. Some of the boys were in the girls team but that was allright.

You can't say two numbers at the same time and you can't help other with the number.

We then moved on to our next Avtivity, which was Human Bowling. The aim of the game was that you bowl and try to hit them on the leg, if all the Girls/Boy are out then the other team wins. The boys won but we needed a tie breaker because the Girls won 21.  

We then played a GKQ game, but it is called End of the road. It is just like around the world , but you need to get the other team out. For this game the girls won, but it didn't matter in the end because we were all winners. We looked our teacher Mrs.Tofa, then lined outside, getting ready to go back to class. Kiwi can today was really Awesome and no one was fight but their were some cheaters.

Kiwican.

Today, for kiwican we learnt about why we need rules for school. We played games that were all about rules. We even made some of our own rules. There were three sections, three of them were, learn, encourage and share. We had to figure out which colum the rules goes into, and if we guesed it right you get a point.  Being in kiwican was a lot of fun, a lot of cool games that we played especially denfender, I was really good at it. When then lined up outside, in the corridoors and walked sensibly back  to class.
