Day 2 - Tuesday 10 September

When we woke I changed into my clothes that I was going to be wearing for the whole day. Everyone was ready and we made our way down to the common room. Everyone was sitting at a table while Chris and Magnus was making breakfast. We sat at the table waiting and finally they finished. For breakfast we some oats, porridge and Weet bix. I had some oats because I have never ate it before, and it tasted like it more and more.

Then we were divided into groups. Me and Maya was the leader of our group. Our first activity was Bush craft with Chris. First of all we had to find shelter because it was about to rain. First we had to learn how to do different kinds of tying up ropes. After we split up our group and then each group had made their own tent. I think the our tent was better because they thought that it was a good Idea to put a camp fire in a tent.

After that, Chris took us around and showing us the best wood to burn up. Then we went back to our shelter and gather up all the wood we found. We put all our wood in a tin bucket and tried to light a fire. I even got to try with the matches, but I couldn't manage to make it light up. Then we just got a piece of tissue and burned it so that the other wood would burn up. When we got the fire going the others had to go and get the tents back. While their were getting the tents we had to keep the fire going before it blows out. After that we got a cup and some Milo and then we made some Milo.  Then we went back to the common room.

Our next activity was kayaking, but it got cancelled because of the weather, but it didn't matter because we got to have a swim in the pool. When I first touch the water it was really cold and I wish it was a little bit of warm. After that we went got out of the pool and we went straight to the bathroom and took a hot shower. Then I changed and went straight to the common room, waiting for the other group to go to bush walk, when they left we got straight into team building activities. First activity we did was Human knot. Part of the game was to work together to untangle the human knot. Every time we almost got it we have to restart. Then the second time we almost got but we failed. Next game was called the floor is lava. We had set little blocks on the floor to create platforms on the ground so that we have something to step on in order to get to the other side. We manage to get to the other side about few times.

We waited for all the other groups to come back to the common room. While we were waiting we decided to play some puzzles. But unfortunately we did not have the time because the groups were on their way to the common room. Then when Chris and Magnus came they got started on dinner. Mrs Raj  was making her Chick beat curry. When we got dinner, I got the normal rice instead of the coconut rice and I also had some chick beat, I thought that it was really good, so I got a second plate. Next we had a little conversation and then we went to our cabins and had good sleep.
